Edinburgh, SA are looking for a full-time Metal Machinists (First Class).

About the Role ...

• Full-time position for the right candidate
• Salary of between $60k - $70k plus superannuation

This well-established heavy engineering company based in the Adelaide Northern Suburbs who are involved with the manufacture of large complex equipment, components & structures from a variety of industry sectors, would be very interested to hear from interested applicants that have the experience and ability to operate a Metal Machinists (First Class).

About you …

We are seeking an experienced Metal Machinists (First Class) with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can work alongside an established team.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

• Ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot and programme Horizontal Boring Machines with CNC Heidenhain Controller
• Be suitably conversant in Heidenhain series control language, or similar CNC control language with at least 5 years of experience in shop-floor programming in a precision engineering jobbing environment would be preferable.
• Confident to handle and machine large fabricated items
• Extensive experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Ability to inspect completed work for conformance to specification using various measuring equipment
• A working knowledge of other types of machine tools, both CNC and conventional
• Either Toolmaking, fitting & machining or mech Eng Certificate preferably with qualifications (IE Aust recognised)
