We are currently recruiting for an experienced Agronomist where you will support the farming team by monitoring and reporting on the crops while developing new strategies to maximise crop production. You will work closely with the farm management team and the senior agronomist to ensure quality delivery.

To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes:

• Relevant industry/ tertiary qualifications
• A hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
• Regular monitoring and reporting on crops.
• Provide instructions and advise to farming staff on pest and disease control.
• Monitor soil moisture and make recommendations for irrigation.
• Monitor plant nutrition and advise on fertilising needs.
• Prepare reports after monitoring quality assurance on crop performance and planting results and advise on crop yields at maturity.
• Ensure inputs are onboard and available on time
• Record field activity data into Cropwalker to enable reporting across each stage of the crop’s lifecycle.
  Knowledge of Potatoes and Vegtables 
• Assist with the reporting and documentation of results based on new varieties and trails.
• Assist with planting schedules and crop husbandry

To be successful in this role you need to have a passion for horticultural industry and a drive to succeed, you require excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make timely decisions, as well as your strategic thinking and ability to write accurate reports, this will hold you in a position to seed your further growth within this company.  

This is a full-time position with a basic salary range $65-$85,000 plus superannuation.
