Job Purpose:

Our client is looking for a full time seasoned Operations Engineer to work in a full time role in Batchelor, Northern Territory to identify all operational problems by observing and studying the functioning and performance of systems. Provides operational management information by collecting, analysing and summarizing operating and engineering trends.  Identifies and prioritise by assessing operational objectives aligned with business goals and objectives.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the installation of new equipment and machines according to engineering principles.
• Manage preventive maintenance of all machinery, equipment and freezers to minimize breakdown.
• Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained
• Plan production through consultation with the production manager and Sales and ensure that enough space is available to store boxes in freezers.
• Analyze the production process and provide solutions for continual increase in production.
• Ensure that minimum stock is available of every product for daily and weekly orders.
• Review in conjunction Operations Manager, all performance data relating to daily production.
• Coordinate with the quality manager for reducing meat wastage and rejections.
• Lead a change in culture towards continual improvement in all aspects of production
• Working with Sales team to improve product standards and create new business opportunities
• Boost Supervisor /employee moral while trying to foster a winner team mythology
• Daily review with Operations Manager to day to day production and maintenance data and issues.

Experience and Skills:

 Strong understanding of engineering systems, operations and applications

• 3 years of relevant engineering experience
• Excellent engineering and manufacturing control
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Plant level engineering experience is must

 Qualification:

• Relevant bachelor engineering qualification

 Workhours and Benefits:

• Minimum 38 hours of work with some requirement overtime as and when required
• Salary range $70,000 to $80,000 per annum
