About the role: We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Tendering Engineer to join our Building and Construction team, based at our Head Office in Dry Creek. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing first principle estimates, complex price build ups, construction programs, methodologies and leading bids for challenging and diverse Building and Construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: • Review RFT, RFP and RFQ documentation to determine requirements in the planning of tenders. • Develop lists of required pricing components and identify associated subcontractors and suppliers. • Preparation of project take-offs • Cost estimating (using Cost X) and preparation of all relating tender schedules • Development of tender programs • Develop construction methodologies • Submission of detailed bids • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other key stakeholders • Provide detailed handovers to the delivery project teams
Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years’ experience • Experience in Building and Construction elemental estimates • Degree qualifications in Quantity Surveying or similar • Proficient computing skills including MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Cost X (preferred) • High level of interpersonal skills including a good phone manner and positive relationships with a network of South Australian Suppliers and Subcontractors. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects

Salary range offered based upon experience between ($70,000-$80,000).
