Our Head Chefs are responsible for the day-to-day management of the kitchen department and ensuring our guests experience the best of what we have to offer. Providing the expected high standards in quality food management, and agreed menu, whilst maintaining cost effective practices, including kitchen procedures and the allocation of kitchen duties. 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Experience at a similar level with recognised high standards is advantageous;
• Workplace training from within a high standard hotel environment;
• An understanding of the preparation, delivery and services associated with the highest standards of cuisine found in the dynamic hospitality environment;
• Experience in a small, upmarket resort or in another ‘remote’ resort location would be an advantage but not a requirement;
• Comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation and managing costs particularly controlling wages and cost of goods; 
• Knowledge of the highest standards and quality production, preparation and presentation within a kitchen environment;
• Knowledge of the highest standards of hygiene practices as laid down by health and safety regulations
• Creativity and flair;
• An understanding of Hospitality Industry (General) Award compliance; and
• A strong appreciation of food, hygiene and workplace safety.

salary between $90,000 and $100,000 +  a monthly  bonus scheme + superannuation
