Our client is looking for a  full time Service Technician for their Welshpool(Perth Branch) to perform routine maintenance, breakdown 24/7 operation and fault-finding work on a large variety of Air Compressors and Generators. You will require Mechanical Trade to be successful in this role.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Troubleshooting and fault finding/Mechanical & Electrical (have ability to read Electrical schematics)
• Routine servicing of mechanical systems
• General maintenance and servicing of compressed air systems/generators in workshop and customer sites

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Maintenance background
• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications
• Ability to study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
• Skilled in fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
• Ability to check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
• Diagnosing skill to find faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
• A commitment to workplace safety
• Previous experience working on compressed air or industrial equipment will be viewed as desirable however is not essential, so please apply if you do not have Compressor experience.
• Good computer literacy and administration skills.
• Restricted Electrical License is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of $75,000-$ 95,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience, skills and qualifications.

You will be provided with a fully maintained company service vehicle, mobile telephone and company uniform will be supplied.
