One of the largest firming organization in South Australia is looking for an experienced, skilled Motor Mechanics to join their successful team in Virginia South Australia.

 

 The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The  Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnostic and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Motor Mechanic is responsible for service, maintenance and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tire changes etc.)
  • Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle engines, and machinery.
  • Fault diagnostics and testing parts
  • Performing repairs and replacing defective worn or parts   
  • Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
  • Reassembling engines and parts after repair

Qualifications required:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of fulltime experience
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Must have intermediate or above computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.
  • Be motivated and able to achieve targets

An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.

This is offered at basic salary of between $ 60,000 - $ 90,000 p.a + Superannuation
