A busy workshop that services and repairs passenger vehicles, engines and machinery etc including diesel fuel injection systems is looking for an automotive tech to diagnose and provide solutions to mechanical issues to passenger vehicles. Additionally, a good understanding and experience of diesel fuel systems are necessary to repair diesel-fueled 4wds.Experiance with Kobelco Heavy Machinery required  

 

The workshop is clean and modern and you will be supported to perform your best to

ensure customers have a quick turn around with fixing issues with their vehicles.

 

Due to growing demand our client is seeking Diesel Fitter- Mechanic Technicians to join there hard working and dedicated team. As a Diesel Fitter- Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair.

 

Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling diesel engines and plant equipment.
  • Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered attachments such as pumps and injectors.
  • Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
  • Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
  • Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
  • Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
  • Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
  • Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
  • Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes:

  • Relevant qualifications (at least Cert III) in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Fitter - Mechanic.
  • Trained and have experience in Diesel Fuel injection repairs
  • Experience to disassemble, clean and inspect pumps and injectors
  • Repair, service and calibrate components.
  • Diagnostic Skills
  • Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hydraulics/ Pneumatic experience will be highly regarded

     

  • This is a full-time position with good pay of $ 70,000- $95,000 p.a plus superannuation awaits you coupled with ongoing training will be provided; to maintain your ability to manage to change vehicle technology. Please send your resume for consideration if you meet the requirements as follows;
