The Western Australian feedlotting business supplies prime beef cattle for both domestic and international markets. The business is experiencing high growth and provides a perfect opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on new challenges within their business. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for planning, organising, controlling and coordinating the farming operations to breed and raise prime quality beef cattle and develop a breeding program. Your main tasks Manage all operations associated with the beef cattle production including - breeding and raising livestock - monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of livestock including food nutritional levels, relocation of livestock to new pastures - organising, directing and conducting farming operations such as maintaining pens, sheds and fertilising, controlling pests and weeds, and growing fodder, maintaining fences, equipment and water supply systems - organising the sale, purchase and transportation of livestock and produce maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities, including financial records, - may select, train and supervise staff and contractors Your Skills and Experience: • You will have proven experience in the operational management of a beef cattle/ livestock farm. • You will have good communication skills which will enable you to liaise with farm managers, and other team members. • You will possess strong attention to detail and have passion and pride in the quality of your work. • You must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
